MRMS One-Act community performance 5/2 @ 2pm

Miles River Middle School is eagerly anticipating their upcoming performance at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's Middle School One-Act Festival! 28 students have been working on every facet of our show, "Inside The Lines", including performance, costume design, prop and set construction, light design, and sound design.

"Inside The Lines" was written by the 2015 original cast and crew. 'Inside the Lines' is a futuristic, dystopian allegory that imagines a world where everyone relies on their device in every way, from what color lipstick to wear, to who to marry, to what their profession will be. When Sarah's device breaks, she discovers a world full of possibilities and an opportunity to make choices for herself. Will her rigid society accept Sarah's choices, or force her to fit inside the lines?

At the time this play was written, students had a very different relationship with their devices than students do in 2026. In the age of social media, influencers, and smart watches, 'Inside The Lines' holds a new relevance in our modern world.

Come see ‘Inside the Lines’ this Saturday 5/2 @ 2pm in the HWRHS Auditorium. All are welcome!

Prism Concert 3/31 @ 7pm

Just as a prism breaks light into component parts, the PRISM concert breaks the instrumental music department into varied components. Showcasing the individual talents rather than the bands as a whole, the PRISM concert features individuals and small ensembles in a unique and dramatic setting, utilizing the entire space in the Ferrini Dramatics Center with the help of the theater tech crew. The music played will be taken from the gamut of musical repertoire. The audience is not allowed to clap, talk, or leave, making the production seamless, as the acts start as soon as one lets off. The entire performance will last less than 60 minutes, admission is free, and all are welcome. We hope to see you there!
